Paul and Vienna meet, and have a falling out
Funny trace-over I did with Dana and Dale. Traced from Grand Theft Auto and inspired by the music video of Gezebelle Gaburgably - Slime

short character descriptions
Name: Dana
Blog: darkacademic-daydreams - vampire discourse (previously an aesthetic blog)
Pronouns: mainly she/her, they/them is also ok. (Nonbinary girl)
Age: late high school ish
Appearance: Brown rabbit with glasses. She wears masculine clothing. Likes dark browns.
Summary: The protagonist of the comic. She's opinionated and cares about what she thinks is right.
Name: Grace
Blog: vampositivity - vampire positivity/edits. Like MOGAI blogs.
Pronouns: she/her
Age: late high school ish
Appearance: Blonde rabbit. Wears feminine clothes, usually in pastel/bright colors.
Summary: She's trusting and kind. She dislikes having to be directly faced with arguments and conflict. She trusts her brother a lot, which is unfortunate since he's manipulating her to be okay with murder

Pronouns: she/her, but friends&allies can use she/it
Age: adult woman (20+)
Appearance: A dark brown-gray rabbit. Sometimes seen in a lab coat, since she is a scientist (biology).
Summary: She runs a blog which inspired Dana to be open about being a vampire. Vienna worked at a lab before being outed as a vampire. This leads to the zombie outbreak. She hates Paul because he's a murderer. After vampire-phobia has caused her a lot of pain, she's a bit depressed and apathetic, but still cares about things deep down.

vampire-hunter-league - some anonymous guy. he's dedicated to 'hunting down vampires' by harassing and doxxing them. he has good researching skills, and knows computers and their networks. on his blog, he tries to look cool and edgy but ends up looking kinda dorky. He likes Waldo the Wabbit.
aestheticsgender - aesthetic/mogai blog, previous follower of darkacademic-daydreams, anti-vampire. probably early/mid-highschool age
dana's unnamed vamp-phobic mom
waldo the wabbit - old rubberhose cartoon character

bonus facts
This comic isn't based on any one real person or situation, but is based on several things that have happened to/around me.
I started working on it January 2025 and finished it October 2025.
You don't have to take any of these "bonus facts" as canon, as they aren't technically "in the text." I just felt like writing them in case anyone gets really into this comic, and wants something clarified (without having to ask me directly)
Being a vampire in this universe is more like a disability/difference and not like.. being undead and needing to drink blood. They're anemic and have sharp canines. Many of them are sensitive to light and sleep a lot. They also sparkle in the sunlight. There's a stereotype about them killing people, and they're discriminated against. It's an under-researched condition (though Vienna studies it in the future).
BunnyLand is a town in a cold part of the world. Everyone is an anthropomorphic rabbit. It's far from other towns and it's hard to get messages in or out.
RabbitNet is a social media like Tumblr, but only for people in the local area.
laws probably work slightly different in this universe
I think most/all of the main characters would be not-cishet
Headcanon: dana is fictionkin of Jules Addison from Unearthed/Undying. i was reading the book at the time i wrote her. i think she'd have the voice of Mia when she's doing Jules's voice (the audiobook has two voice actors for the shifting perspective)
vienna would have some weird kintype of some kind. i just think she would kin some uncommon animal, or uncomming thing, or some character/person nobody's heard of. i think she has those vibes. obscure otherkin
I think Vienna would natively know another language than English and would have some accent. Though I'm not set on any specific language.
grace gives the vibes that she's a Christian. she's not necessarily literally a Christian. but she gives those vibes in her mannerisms. like she's abnormally positive, outgoing to strangers, trusting/influencable, and desparate to please others, but she kinda has an agenda that she might try to convince you towards. i just notice that people trying to evangelize to me have those traits.
the main 2 girls as humans:
- dana - brown skin with dark brown curly hair
- grace - blonde white girl. hair is either straight or wavy/curly
